A view of Gilded Hollins Farm, Pennington, Leigh, no date. The farmhouse stood opposite to Knotts Mill on St Helens Road and Wesleyan meetings were held here in 1780 before a Mr Prichard Eckersley donated the land for the construction of a school and chapel at Lowton.
