Wigan Warship Week, November 1941. Warship Week was a national savings campaign during the Second World War. This image shows a stage set up outside Market Hall, Wigan, under the banner 'WARSHIP WEEK'. The stage is draped in Union Jack flags. Funds were being raised to 'adopt' the ship H.M.S. Janus.
