Fulwell House, Tyldesley, before 1935. The house was built in 1792 by a cotton manufacturer. The last owner was William Eckersley, who offered the house to Tyldesley Council, but the gift was declined. The house was demolished in 1935 and in its place was built a housing estate. The old mansion is commemorated in the name of one of the roads.
