Bullock Roasting at Tyldesley, 2 October 1925. The tradition was being revived after a 32 year absence. The man in the white coat is Mr Tyler who cooked the animal. Tyldesley's oldest man, 93 year old William Owen cuts the first slice which weighed 28 stones. 2000 sandwiches were sold using 100 loaves weighing 4lb each.
