The Rose Queen procession, Platt Bridge, circa 1903. Pictured are two horses pulling an open carriage in which are sat the Rose Queen and her two assistants. The man on the lead horse is believed to be the father of the Rose Queen, Mr Walmesley of Dower House Farm in Moss Lane, pictured in the background.
