Kerfoot's grocer's shop at 12 Market Street, Leigh, on the corner of Sugar Street. Prices can be seen in the window- bacon 8d sliced. Three male shop workers and a boy stand in front of the shop. A man stands with the shop's horse and cart in Sugar Street. The notice on the shop next door says it will be opened to sell beef, mutton and lamb on Thursday 1 June 1893. This row of property was demolished in about 1905 to make way for the current Town Hall.
