Exterior of H Whittle's shop, Market Street, Hindley. The shop has two doorways, a male stand in one and a female in the other. The window displays contain, gloves, hats, shirts and other articles of clothing. The windows advertise the goods sold. There are women's hats and men's caps displayed outside the shop. The shop has a large glass gas lantern also advertising the goods sold. The shop's owner Henry Whittle lived above the shop with his wife Agnes, and their son Herbert. Date circa 1905.
