'Howarth Building' Number 779 Atherton Road, Hindley Green, c.1880s-90s. A datestone on the building reads 'Howarth Building 1890'. In the 1891 census Henry Howarth was a house furnisher, his wife Margaret was the post mistress, and her daughter Annie was a telegraphist.
