The picture shows the two captains, Mooney (Leigh), Harold Horder (Australia) with the Mayor of Leigh, Councillor George Holden, and Ellis Howarth, a director and chairman of Leigh Rugby League Football Club. Ellis Howarth JP, died on 22 October 1955, aged 84 and was Leigh\'s oldest JP, appointed to the bench in 1915 and retiring aged 75. Howarth was also Vice Chairman of the Rugby League and a Trustee of the Rugby League.
