Poster advertising the activities taking place at 'Callender's Pleasure Field' during the 'Holidays at Home' week, 1943. During the Second World War people were encouraged to spend their holidays at home. Special events and activities were arranged to entertain local people, such as these organised for workers at Anchor Cable Works in Leigh. Anchor Cable Works became part of British Insulated Callender's Cable (BICC).
