Ancient Egypt

All of the objects were originally on display at the Museum of Wigan Life from 18 July 2015 to 18 June 2016 as part of a temporary Ancient Egypt Rediscovered exhibition. Thanks to funding and generous donations the objects are now on permanent display.

The exhibition covers over 3,000 years of Egyptian history and the museum is indebted to the work of the Horus Society, Prof Joann Fletcher and Dr Stephen Buckley.
